With the pandemic misinformation seems to be almost as contagious as this virus. Cure Covidiocy is a resource designed to aide users in dispelling misinformation by providing them with facts and unbiased conclusions based as much as possible on primary data sources as opposed to media.
When using this information I encourage you to aim to educate not belittle, a lot of people are simply scared, have little control over their situation, and are looking for someone to blame. My primary goal is to give some power back to them through education and understanding.
My approach with each of the claims is I identify claims being made on social media that I expect to be poorly informed, I make some assumptions about the claim, consider any mitigating factors, and try to disprove my own assumption.
Whilst I make every effort to ensure the information is accurate I cannot provide any guarantees; all I can do is promise that I've done my best to provide an independent and unbiased analysis, I encourage you to make your own mind up, question, verify, and validate my work. If there are shortcomings or mistakes (and you can detail them or back them with either more reliable sources) I will soon implement a contact form, for the time being I am more focused on getting the site up and running with quality content which can be surprisingly time consuming.
Cure Covidiocy is not affiliated with anyone, we are 100% independent, we simply aim to inform and feel that politicising COVID has done a LOT of harm throughout the world. We do not have any adverts, we do not have any sponsors, we do not make money from this, this is a purely altruistic site.
